Richard J. Donohue

Richard Joseph Donohue, age 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8th, 2024. He lived most of his life in Hampton Bays, New York, having recently relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina.

He is the son of the late Michael and June (Sprague) Donohue.

He is survived by his wife Rose, his former wife Diana McQuoid and their three children, Richard, Jennifer, and Sean.  He is the brother of Michael (MaryJane), Jessica (Doug), June (Kevin) and Maureen (Richard), and will be missed by his nine nieces and nephews, twelve great nieces and nephews and his many loyal friends.

Richard dedicated his career as an electrician in the Local 3 IBEW, working for ADCO for many years.  He will be remembered for his hard work, love of life, his infectious smile, and the laughter he brought to those around him.

He loved trips to Las Vegas; his Sunday football games, and spending time at family gatherings. He leaves behind many years of happy memories of love and laughter.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 14th from 2- 4 pm and 7- 9 pm at Scott Rothwell Funeral Home, 20 Ponquogue Ave, in Hampton Bays. Followed with a funeral mass at 9:30 am at St. Rosalie’s Church, 31 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays.
