Louise Jean Holecek

Louise J. Holecek, wife of the late Frank A. Holecek, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 15th, 2021. While she was a long-term resident of Hampton Bays, she was living with her daughter in Cape Coral, Fl, at the end of her life. She was 98 years old.

Louise was born on April 1, 1923, in Old Lycoming, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing and was a nurse for many years at a major New York City hospital. She married the love of her life, Frank A. Holecek in 1949. Together, they owned the Czechoslovak Praha restaurant in NYC, which was famous for their Long Island Duck dinner. They retired to Hampton Bays in 1983. She was the proud mother of two children, whom she loved deeply, and she absolutely cherished spending time with and spoiling her only grandson.

Louise is survived by her daughter Debra L. Janus, her son-in-law Jerry Janus, her grandson Christopher Janus, and her future granddaughter-in-law Desiree Lu. After 31 years, Louise has finally reunited with her husband in the afterlife. She is now at peace and will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
