A Graveside service will be held for James Lee Jacobs on Friday, October 15, 2021 11:00 AM at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays, New York.

REMEMBERING JAMES JACOBS

Jimmy was always a very good hearted person. He was the type of person that if he could help you at any time he would. He had a unique sense of humor and used it well. As I playfully referred to him many times, “James”, he could always put a smile on your face and make you laugh, even during difficult times. He had some good friends, too many to name. He really had a love for wildlife and lots of pets, as some of us know, he had some exotic pets as well and truly enjoyed them. Jimmy comes from a fisherman family history and with this background he enjoyed cooking and eating fish (he made the best baked clams :-) Jimmy had a love of music, so much so that back in the day he did DJ some. We also had lots of fun in our youth on Ruytna Circle in Hampton Bays (ah, taking a step back in time, great memories)! Nearing the end of Jimmy’s life, he was very ill and had a rough time. Thankfully, God Bless, living with best friend, Joey Perkowski and family, helped him to be a little more at ease… Joey was like a great “brother” to him (a sentiment that was felt by both) and Joey did his best to keep him as comfortable as possible. Even towards the end of Jimmy’s life he was humorous, fun, good natured... In the end, Jimmy lost his battle to diabetes. He is now with his Mom Diane, Dad Jim, brother Robert (Rob) and others. Peace, Love and Happiness in Heaven Jimmy! You will be missed for sure! Smiling on the word of Jimmy ~ “SHABLAT”!!!
