Obituary
Gertrude (Trudy) Elfriede Arnold, 97 years old, of East Quogue, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from natural causes. She was born in Berlin, Germany on January 24, 1926 and moved to the US in 1931. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Arnold and her mother Helene and father Henry Dahremoller.
She leaves behind her two sons and their wives: Kenneth and Joanne and Roger and Wendy, as well as her grandchildren, Tracy, Zachary, Danielle and Benjamin and her great grandchildren, Zoey, Samantha, Austin and Ryan.
She was the salt of the earth whose kindness and pleasant demeaner coupled with her sense of humor and great singing voice (even at 97) will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her family and friends.
She has gone to her eternal home in heaven. Goodbye for now lovely lady. Du bist ein schones Madchen, Trudel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Scott Rothwell Funeral Home, 20 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946. Telephone: 631-728-3660.
Funeral will be at 12:30 pm the same day at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, River, NY 11792.
