Edward Loud Obituary

Edward D. Loud of Hampton Bays died on February 25th at the age of 78. Brooklyn born and raised in Bellrose NY, Edward raised his four children with his wife Nina in East Northport, Long Island.

His intense love of golf led him to win the LI Junior Golf Championship at the young age of 17. That led to a golf scholarship at the University St. John

He began a career in advertising selling television time for Peters, Griffin, and Woodward. His love of golf mixed well with his success in business as it allowed him to play on some of the most prestigious courses in the country. He shared many golf outings with his father Edward and his brother Robert, both incredible golfers as well.

Edward was a lover of music and loved to sing...which he did well. Dion, Bobby Darin and Neil Diamond were a few of his favorites. His biggest fan was his mother Frances who would often join him in song. Edward was also cast as the lead role of Lt Joseph Cable in a local version of the play South Pacific.
He was an avid reader and lover of classic movies, as well.

In 2010, Edward moved to the east end of Long Island and spent the last ten years residing in Hampton Bays with his daughter Christine.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will deeply missed by family and friends.

Edward is survived by his four children Denise, Christine, Edward, And Kelly. His son in law Martin and ex wife Nina. His brother Robert, sister in law Gayle, and nephews Robert, Steven,  wife Lynsie and great nephew Benjamin. Along with his six grandchildren Madison, Camryn, Elijah, Aliyah, Jada, and Jordyn.
