Colleen Ann Schmidt

Colleen Ann Schmidt of Hampton Bays passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 4th, at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Westhampton.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 12, 1954, Colleen attended Doherty Memorial High School, then went on to the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in fashion marketing. She pursued a career in the apparel industry as a merchandiser, sourcing fabrics, manufacturers and fashion trends, traveling to Europe and the far East over her career.

Colleen loved life in general and her family in particular. She is survived by her husband of 31 years “F.J.” and her close cousin Rosemary Hilland,  her husband Mike Sandusky and his loved son Nathan.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to East End Hospice and in particular the Kanas Center for Hospice Care.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 20 Ponquogue Ave, Hampton Bays, NY. A private cremation will follow.
